New Slate of Officers Elected
At its Annual Meeting, the Trustees of the Mason Wright Foundation elected officers who will serve until the 2013 Annual Meeting. Elected were the following:
President—John Morse, President & Publisher, Merriam-Webster
Vice President—Paul Marchese, Senior VP, St. Germain Investments
Secretary—M. Trant Campbell, Attorney, Annino, Draper & Moore
Treasurer—Arlene Putnam, Principal, Putnam Associates, LLC.
Alan Popp continues as Chief Executive Officer
Honored at the meeting were retiring President, Ellen Freyman, an attorney with Shatz, Schwartz & Fentin; Treasurer, Tom Burton, Vice Chair of Hampden Bank; and Governance Committee Chair, Cheryl Stanley, Dean of Education at Westfield State University.
Mason Wright Foundation Captures Second “Excellence” Award
Mason Wright Foundation received the “Excellence in Governance Award” from LeadingAge/Massachusetts (formerly MassAging), a state-wide association for providers of housing and services to seniors. The award was announced at the association’s annual meeting in October by President Elissa Sherman, who said, “Mason Wright was a clear stand-out in a highly competitive field.” More than 160 association member organizations were eligible for the award, which recognized Mason Wright Foundation’s highly effective governance model.
