Rainy Days and Mondays
…and Tuesdays and Wednesdays and weekends! Wow, what a rainy summer we are having! The grass is lush and green, brooks are babbling, our lakes and rivers are high, but our residents can’t get outside nearly as much as they’d like to. Still, we are having a great summer here at Mason Wright Senior Living. Our Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care are completely full and our community is healthy and well! We celebrated Jackie Robinson Day on April 15th, had a delicious and fun 4th of July barbecue and are having another summer barbecue this coming Friday! When the weather cooperates, we have outdoor entertainment, refreshments on the patio, cornhole, putting contests, beanbag toss and more. We celebrated our phenomenal RCAs (resident care associates) in June with outdoor games and an ice cream sundae bar. Resident lunch trips to Dairy Queen and Golden Corral, along with shopping at Big Y and other local stores, trips taken for granted 16 months ago, now bring smiles and joy!
We have started our fundraising for the 2021 Pioneer Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The walk will be held at Holyoke Community College on Sunday September 26th and the Mason Wright Starfeet Enterprise team is back for the 5th year in a row! If you’d like to join our team or make a donation, please visit our team page at: https://act.alz.org/site/TR/Walk2021/MA-MassachusettsNewHampshire?team_id=674118&pg=team&fr_id=14516
As always, we have a lot to look forward to with fantastic Life Enrichment programs, activities and entertainment scheduled. Here’s hoping for a drier end to July and perfect weather for the rest of the summer. Wouldn’t it be nice?
